High-Pressure Sending Tank Conveying System also known as the Silo Pump Conveying System, is a type of positive pressure pneumatic conveying system, typically used for dense-phase transportation.
The dense-phase pump uses high-quality dome valves or double butterfly valves for discharging. After the dense-phase pump is fully filled, the dome valve ball passes through the material to close and seal. Compressed air enters the dense-phase pump through a control valve, allowing the material to enter the conveying pipeline at a low speed according to specific system requirements.
During the feeding process, the material is added into the sending tank through a double butterfly valve or an expandable butterfly valve, and the displaced air is released through an exhaust valve, making feeding easier and solving the issue of reverse pressure that obstructs material flow.
This conveying method requires only a small amount of compressed air, achieving a high material-to-air ratio, ensuring low energy consumption, and causing minimal system wear.
When the sending tank is filled (as indicated by the level sensor showing 90% of the tank’s volume), both the feed valve and exhaust valve are closed and sealed. Then, compressed air is introduced into the top of the sending tank through the air inlet valve. The compressed air mixes with the material, and when the pressure inside the tank reaches the set value, the bottom discharge valve automatically opens. At this point, pressure is applied to the entire conveying pipeline, and the material is conveyed in a plug-like manner until it is completely emptied.
When the pressure inside the sending tank drops to zero, the air supply is shut off, and any remaining small amount of gas is discharged from the sending tank and conveying pipeline.
Compared to traditional positive pressure conveying systems, the high-pressure sending tank system uses a sending tank instead of a rotary valve or venturi tube as the material addition device.
Additionally, the conveying pressure of the sending tank system is relatively high, and the solid-to-air ratio is also relatively high.
This product is widely used for conveying powders and granules. It can achieve negative-positive pressure combined conveying, realize long-distance transportation at a lower cost, and improve conveying efficiency.
